Since August 30, Alyssia has been standing up all by herself, without pulling up on anything. She's so adorable trying to maintain her balance--little bottom sticking way out as she pushes her way up. Yesterday and today, she took one tentative little step once she reached the standing position--and then promptly fell down. She looks so triumphant when she makes it all the way up by herself.
In the last couple of days, she's been taking a few steps once she's made it to a standing position. The other day, she took 8 steps before she fell over.
Here are some photos from our family vacation at the beginning of August. We went to Gramma Norma's place in beautiful West Virginia. We were so glad to be there when Ben's brother David and three of his sons. We also got to visit with Aunt Ann and cousins Tracy and Samantha. Alyssia loved meeting her cousins and playing with them.
Here we are at the WVA State Fair. It was SO hot outside. Next time, we're going after the sun goes down.
One day, we all went to the General Lewis Inn for lunch. It was lovely.
Here are some pictures from Nana's trip here in July and August. We had a good time in D.C. Ben looks like he belongs with the secret service or something. That day when we went to a pizza place for dinner, Alyssia tried her hand at coloring for the first time. She LOVED it.
